The Junior Leadership Program (JLP) is designed to help prepare junior managers at Carl Zeiss for their first leadership tasks and to promote high-quality leadership skills on an international level. The program offers the possibility of establishing contact with other talented young people and managers in the Carl Zeiss Group on a worldwide level.
Twice a year, potential managers – having successfully completed the Junior Leadership Assessment – may take part in the Junior Leadership Program. Thanks to a variety of internal and external advisors and managers, participants obtain an extensive qualification and get to know important contacts at Carl Zeiss.
The program runs over a 12 month period. Following an initial introduction to the company's structure, the participants are familiarized with topics such as value-oriented corporate management, business excellence and the ZEISS brand. In order to get to know the company from all sides, you will also gain an insight into the diverse technologies and products of the business units. In various seminar units, participants are trained on topics such as management, communication, intercultural awareness, presentation techniques or problem solving and decision making. Within the scope of a business case, participants' understanding of business management interrelationships and the concept of value-oriented corporate governance is broadened.
At the end, content learnt during the program is prepared and presented before the Executive Board, HR Managers and superiors as part of a closing event.
